This is an area of contradicting feedback as far as the Waves stuff is concerned, so any further feedback, and details on this would help a lot. (A big step up from Motu's audio interfaces). I agree that using a high quality audio interface with very good A/D and D/A converters makes a big difference as well, I will be using the Rosetta 800 firewire from Apogee. bundle if they are not a big step up in quality from the Logic Pro 7.1 included plug-ins. I would hate to waste money on the Waves Plat. compressor, EQ, channel, and the L1, L2, and 元 Ultramaximizers, plus much more. Things might have changed in 7.1 (I am hoping that is the case), in general I found the Logic Pro 6 plug-ins had more of a surgical but not very musical effect, it was kind of tricky to get what you want with these plug-ins, and they lacked a bit of warmth, and maybe musicality when applied.īut going back to the Waves bundle, I asked around at retail stores, and they all seem to recommend the Waves bundle, actually I am currently seriously considering the Waves Platinum bundle, which is not cheap, but offers so many tools for mixing and mastering, included are the famous Ren. If I remember the Logic Pro 6 plug-ins, I don't think they were all that great sounding, the compressors, and Eq are OK, but nothing to go Wow ! about. This is an interesting topic, I just purchased the Logic Pro 7.1 upgrade from Logic Pro 6.4.3, but I'm currently waiting for a G5 to be delivered, so I have not bothered installing Logic Pro 7.1.
